The 2016 venue was an outdoor amphitheater and the client desired a brand that felt ‘festive.’ The color palette was inspired by the work of Oti Aicher’s 1972 Olympics, while the concept itself was formed around the iconic elastic ‘O,’ which can form into various shapes. The leadership on the client side decided go the ‘safer’ route for the colors, but this palette became part of the official brand for the following years.
